Sorin was born in Bucharest on 17th of March 1975 and started the violin at the age of 8. He graduated from "George Enescu Music High- School" where he studied under maestro Octav Savitchi and "Ciprian Porumbescu Music University" where he his Professor was maestro Daniel Podlovschi.
In 1996 and 1997 he took part in summer-courses with maestro Viktor Pikaizen and maestro Eugen Sarbu. During this time he performed concerts and recitals as a soloist and in various chamber groups in Romania, France and the Netherlands.
In 1997 he won the third prize at the “George Enescu – Childhood Memories” contest in Bucharest. During his university studies he played in the "Radio Chamber Orchestra", "Philarmonia Chamber Orchestra" and “Bucharest Opera” but mainly in "George Enescu Philharmonic" where as a member of the orchestra he had the chance to work, perform, tour and record beside great conductors and soloists.
In 2000 he moved to Lebanon to fulfil his position in “Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra” after a successful audition in 1999. In 2003 he became the assistant concert master. During his five years there he performed lots of concerts as a soloist and in various chamber music groups. Sorin also performed concerts in other styles including jazz and folk.
In 2005 he moved to Cyprus to play with the “Cyprus State Orchestra” after a successful audition in 2004. From March he has been working as an associate trainer of the Cyprus Youth Orchestra.
