Laura Rodgers
Born in N.Ireland in 1978, Laura Rodgers began her oboe studies
at the age of 8. She graduated from the University of Manchester
with a Bmus (hons) degree studying with Valerie Taylor. She then
went on to study for a Postgraduate Diploma in Orchestral
Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in
London having studied with Richard Simpson, David Walter,
Helena Gaunt and Jane Marshall.
Laura has played with the Ulster Orchestra and freelanced in
London. She has also played concerto with the European Union
Chamber Orchestra and represented them playing with the
Jordanian Symphony Orchestra in Amman, Jordan.
Laura currently plays with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and
enjoys a teaching, chamber music and orchestral career.
