Haroutioun Toumaian
Haroutioun Toumaian started taking violin lessons at the age of eleven.
He passed all the exams with distinction and is a licentiate of the Royal
Schools of Music (performing diploma LRSM).
In 1976 he went to Germany where he took special lessons for
chamber music.
In 1977 he formed the Cyprus String Quartet giving various
performances and recordings for over 10 years.
At present he plays second violin in the Cyprus State Orchestra in which
he has played first and leader in 1990.
He teaches violin in the Hellenic Odeon in Nicosia. He has also worked
with the guitarist, Marios Pourgourides.
